By this point, the dungeon isn’t testing you anymore...  It’s getting personal.

Level Five, from The Gate of the Feral Gods, is where everything opens up. The sky tears apart and the rules start slipping. The clouds may still be a ceiling, but the boundaries of the Dungeon feel much, much bigger.

A single biplane cuts through a storm that isn’t really a storm. The world below it cracks from heat and pressure. Something that may be a caring god leans down from above the clouds, its  kind words almost masking the hiss and pop of the flames in its throat…This officially licensed print holds onto that scale shift. You’re tiny in the frame. Easy to miss, but still somehow the focus.

Joel Daniel Phillips keeps both sides in play. Vast and distant. Close and deliberate. It feels like the end of everything, aimed with precision.
