Shipment Policy
We will do our utmost to package and ship the items as safely as humanly possible, as well as work with you if something gets lost in the mail. However, because all of our items are limited edition or made individually to order, no returns or refunds are guaranteed unless a product arrives damaged or defective.
Shoot us an email at shop@lit-escalates.com if you have any issues with your order and we will be happy to assist. If you have an issue with your package in transit, please let us know within 30 days of your shipping notification so we can assist you.
For any damaged or defective items, please reach out with your order number within 14 days of delivery for assistance.
Packages Marked As Delivered
In cases where the shipping carrier marks your order as delivered but the item is missing from your porch or mailbox we are unable to offer free replacements or refunds. We are a small operation and simply don't have the margins or resources to cover things like dastardly porch pirates.
Preorder Items and Split Fulfillment
In the case that you are ordering a preorder item along with in-stock items, please note that in most cases your order will ship together. If you wish to receive in-stock items in advance of the preorder fulfillment, please place a separate order.

Expedited Shipping and Packing Timelines
If you choose to opt for expedited shipping, please note that the expedited shipping timeline is on behalf of the delivery service, and that it does not include packing times.
We are a small company, and while we do our very best to get packages out the door as quickly as possible, it can take up to 3 business days for your package to go out. Thank you for your patience!
For International Shoppers:
VAT/Customs
Please be aware that Lit Escalates does NOT collect or pay customs or VAT import fees on your behalf as they differ greatly from country to country and change frequently. You may have to pay additional fees to your government for your package. Lit Escalates does not receive any of this money. We apologize for any inconvenience. If your package is returned to us due to unpaid VAT or failure to collect delivery, we will not be able to resend it without an additional shipping fee. Thank you!
For Shoppers in the EU:
Unfortunately, due to the new GPSR regulations we have had to pause shipping on some items to the EU. These regulations require us to file paperwork for each item we wish to sell to the EU, and we are working with an EU partner to try and make more of our items available to our awesome EU customers.
Currently, books, dust jackets, and items that are made-to-order are generally available to the EU. If something is not available to your location, it will usually tell you that after you enter your address in the check-out process.
